rope pump
This system uses a rope with polyethylene pistons attached at intervals, a semi-submerged PVC tube and a pulley with a crank.
This system consists of a rope or rope joined at both ends to which several polyethylene pistons are attached, distributed at an approximate distance of one meter from one another; a semi-submerged PVC tube through which the pistons rise and a large pulley with a crank that propels it with a continuous movement towards the water well. Turning the crank pulls the rope so that the pistons rise up the tube and thus drag or suck the water to the surface. Of course, the water will not come out under pressure but you will get a continuous flow of water with minimal effort. This type of manual pump is an appropriate technology with easy operation and maintenance, high efficiency in shallow wells, and also low cost.
